A few words about MADCAP:
What's happening at MADCAP in 2010?
As always, MADCAP is about excellent summer musical experiences for children, high quality instruction and fun.
Every summer is a little different. In 2010 we're offering just two camps, our signature Chamber Camp and a brand new camp, MADCAP Harp.
More information on these camps is available by clicking on the specific camp buttons on the left of this home page. To download applications, brochures, etc. click on the Applications/auditions page of the desired camp and then on the red [forms] link.
Chamber camp for string players - the main event at MADCAP Chamber is the combined joy and challenge of playing in string quartets and trios. Chamber music is very addicting so we're always glad to see our returning campers as well as the new ones who join us each year!
Harp camp is for anyone who would like to get a great introduction to the harp, learn how the harp works and get a good start on how to play it. In addition to a broad exposure to the world of the harp, Harp camp participants will also attend a daily music class on a variety of unusual and varied musical topics.
Please note: Harp camp is limited to 12 participants so if you're interested in this camp, it's safer to apply early!
What about our wonderful MADCAP Jazz camp? The news is that our fearless leader, Alex Meixner and his family moved to Florida, so the jazz camp will not take place in 2010! Stay tuned for further developments!
We hope YOU will join us for another memorable MADCAP summer!
