A few words about MADCAP:

In 2008, MADCAP Music Camps celebrates eleven years of great music camps for musical kids in the Lehigh Valley!

Here's what's happening in 2008:

Chamber camp for string players - sign on for the surprising fun and challenge of string trios and string quartets.

Jazz camp - the coolest jazz camp anywhere for strings, winds, brass, percussion, piano and voice. Something new - this year the strings at MADCAP Jazz camp will be divided up – more advanced string players in the morning and a new afternoon jazz string camp for the elementary/intermediate string players

Guitar camp - everyone loves the guitar! Here’s a camp for acoustic players and also for electric guitar players. Fantastic faculty. Be prepared to learn an amazing amount and have a great time doing it!

Clarinet camp - something new for the young clarinet player, a camp dedicated to this wonderful instrument! Great faculty and a real opportunity for growth and fun!

Something New and Exciting at MADCAP: A Joint Concert of MADCAP with Satori!

In 2008, MADCAP is proud to collaborate in a joint concert on June 28 with Satori, the professional chamber ensemble which brings so much wonderful chamber music to the Lehigh Valley.

The MADCAP/Satori concert will begin with students from MADCAP Chamber camp, Clarinet camp and Guitar camp playing in student ensembles which have been selected for this honors performance. The rest of the concert features the experienced artist faculty who coach at MADCAP.

This special concert is an opportunity for MADCAP campers to hear their coaches play in small ensembles. It’s also a chance for families and the public to hear our talented young people perform.

The MADCAP/Satori joint concert takes place at 7:30 pm, June 28 at Christ Lutheran Church in Allentown. Please come hear this great concert and support our fine MADCAP student musicians and their hardworking faculty!

[The dress rehearsal for this concert - at 7:30 pm, June 27, is also open for MADCAP families. MADCAP campers might find it interesting to hear their coaches rehearse!]
