Director's comment:

Looking towards MADCAP Jazz 2009, I remember the amazing kids we've had the opportunity to work with since this camp began in 2004. Whatever level of experience they brought to the camp, I'm proud to say they all left with a greater appreciation for jazz itself, music in general and most importantly, working together with their peers. The learning environment created by our faculty and students is unique, and it's the reason so many students return year after year.

This year, Jerry and I are honored to be joined on the faculty by a dear friend and great jazz saxophonist, Tim Powell. We're going to have a blast! We look forward to working with you as part of the 2009 MADCAP Jazz crew!
