Musicianship Class guest instructors for 2010
Curt Lockman
An experienced professional piano tuner and repairman, Mr. Lockman will talk about what goes into tuning a piano. Tuning is both an art and a science having an interesting history and significant variations around the world.
Tom Ardizzone
A musician, composer and host of "World Rhythms" on local NPR affiliate station WDIY. Tom will help open up the world of non-Western music to MADCAP campers, demonstrating examples of exotic music from faraway places.
Bruce Gaston
Mr. Gaston is not only a classically trained violinist and music teacher but has a truly remarkable skill which he will teach MADCAP Campers - playing music using only one's hands. His presentation was a big hit at MADCAP years ago and we're glad to get him back!
Ret Turner
The director of "Mostly Waltz," is a perennial favorite guest instructor at MADCAP. 2010 is Waltz Year at MADCAP. You'll enjoy learning this classic dance!
Steve Reisteter
Mr. Reisteter is a professional trombonist with a successful family music store, Nazareth Music Center.
His class will be a two-fer, not only the "ins and outs" of the trombone, a distinguished and ancient musical instrument but also some insights about what it's like to run a music store. Music and business can indeed co-exist!
